Motion to Call Meeting to Order at 7:07PM by Dave Tabbut

    • Move to approve the meeting minutes by Bill Tregaskis
      • Update to previous minutes
        • Carolyn's name vs. Carol
        • Update Grant anticipated to receive $500 and actually received $1,000
  • Welcoming Committee Report – Jane
    • 2 New Additions
      • Jon and Cheryl Joens
      • Keith Solorz and Melanie Erickson
    • Motion to reimburse Jane for gifts 2 $20 gifts for new residents
      • Motioned => 2nd => Approved
    • New Member Gift Basket
      • Jenny Malmquist and Michelle Smeby would assist in donating baked goods
      • $20 budget for new residents

    • Discussion:
      • Board Executives having the ability to approve charges up to $100 without Association vote being in the bi-laws
      • Hospitality Committee purchases in the past of $30 - $50 for flower and gifts for items such as (Deaths / Surgery / Hospitalized members)
      • Used of the buying power of the Lake association in the past for things like:
        • Lawn treated through community lawn care (Gave Donations to Association)
        • Randy’s had discount
        • Tree Service

    • $4,501.69
  • Curly Leaf Pond Weed Update: Craig Mueller, Aquatic Solutions
      • Want to treat early when curly leaf is low.  Can treat at 50 degrees or above, 55 is ideally where Craig likes to treat the lakes
      • Observation from first year treatment
        • Curly leaf was very tall at treatment time
        • 2 other weeds found in the lake
          • Coontail (benefit is ground cover)
          • Chara algae (Covers lake bottom to limit sediment releasing)
      • Curly leaf is an annual plant
      • Grows early and fast produces seed pods dies and new decaying plant residue releases nutrients that has the potential for fish kills
      • Curly leaf is not good for fishing
      • Would have to ask the DNR and permit to bring in Native plants
        • May not want to bring in a new weed
      • Water clarity at Lake Sarah where Craig has treated has gone up since treating, does not get the green paint on top
      • This year we will use the same formula as last year 2 Parts per million
    • Grant updates
      • Wright County
        • Can receive Up to $4,000 Last year got $1,000 application due in April
      • DNR Grant
        • Applied for grant
      • Estimate is $8,640 (To validate) ask for donation of $250
      • Jane volunteered to go door to door for donations
      • Anne can help Josh setup a Venmo and update the flyer
      • Anne suggested sending a note to a Church in Rogers the flyer for donations
    • Josh requested a side ledger to track the curly treatment
      • Jim to assist Curt with ledger to help show donations
